Runway accident.

A model from Stefani’s L.A.M.B show fell over from a broken heel, causing her to fall over on the catwalk. No one wants this from their shoes!

I Will Literally Be The Old Woman Who Lived In Her Shoe!

Putting a different take on shoes…

The Boot was created by a couple living in Tasman, New Zealand in 2001 and has had years of happy visitors.
The giant boot guesthouse is on a 6 acre property, and rather than convert an existing building, it was designed from scratch.
With curved walls and ceilings, everything had to be custom fitted into carefully planned spaces. The result is an unusual, romantic hideaway – in the shape of a giant boot!

Killer Shoes

Shoes to die for, or shoes that kill?

At Paris fashion week it wasn’t just the clothes that were getting noticed it was the models feet too! There were some amazing styles for any shoe lover to feast upon, A lot of them ingenious and architecturally marvellous.

At Yves Saint Laurent, the soles of Mr. Pilati’s needle-thin stilettos were replaced by a thin metal rod that connected the heel to the toe, leaving the most sensitive underbelly of the foot vulnerably exposed.

Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy offered gladiator styles that laced to the knees, in sandal and stiletto variations.

Alexander McQueen included a pagoda shoe in his show that elicited applause for the model who wore them without falling.

Our favourite; Antonio Berardi showed a high heel on an elongated platform at the toe that actually had no heel.

Redfoot Wins Disney Halo Award

saintly Soles: Redfoot Wins Disney Halo Award Redfoot – the innovative folding shoe – has been awarded a Disney Halo for best experimental product for their Disney Limited Edition range. Over 200 guests, icluding Dragon’s Den celebrity James Caan, beat the blizzard to attend Disney’s annual ceremony held at London’s Vinopolis in December 2010. Launched in August, Redfoot collaborated with brand giant Disney, to create a stylish range of kooky, retro ballet pumps aimed at Disney devotees, young and old.

Designed around the iconic Minnie Mouse portrait, the range uses stunning embellishments and luxe fabrics such as diamante, burnished studs and sparkly suede to create the cool collectables. Disney judged the nominees – which included Boot’s Minnie Mouse Toiletry range and Kenkro organic snacks – on criteria which included: value for money, value added to Disney’s identity, quality and innovation. Redfoot’s Disney Limited Edition range was chosen to win because of the product’s luxuriousness, stylish and innovative design – Redfoot pumps can be folded into a tiny pouch, perfect for popping in a handbag – and affordable price point.

Redfoot’s widespread appeal to women of all ages and its international patent were also praised. Said Lucy Hayes, Disney Licencee Agent for Fashion Brands “The entire Disney office wander round in Disney Bling pumps – they’re so gorgeous. I’ve been approached by a number of licencees to tell me what a brilliant idea they are.
